The actual collection was pretty safe, I didn’t like the oversized classic pieces but it was still one of the better offerings in recent years, definitely the best since the last Métiers d’Art and those are always my favourite. The set for the Spring show was beautiful too and one of the better sets they’ve done but I agree, I wouldn’t say Chanel have ever been minimal with their sets but if they could dial the production down and put more effort into the actual clothes I wouldn’t complain. Also because I’ve heard some complaints about a decline in the quality of Chanel products which is pretty unacceptable at their price points, and makes me nervous because I’ve been planning on getting either a Boy or Classic Flap when I eventually graduate
The red is so so nice and the colour is amazing irl, every time I think about returning I take it out of the box and fall in love again. Plus when I’m not using it it will probably be hanging up in my room like my other scarf I don’t ever wear (bc it’s not my colour) and red would make much nicer décor than grey. But then I already have a few other red accessories that I probably couldn’t wear together, and the only other colour I’ve found works for me is dark green and I can’t really wear red and green together without feeling like a Christmas elf lmao. I think I will exchange it for the grey and then spend the rest of my life regretting it :)
